The Deprived Investor: What it is and is not

January 4, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Hello, and welcome to The Deprived Investor. What is this blog, you ask, and why was it started? Good questions, and I will endeavor to answer them here.

This site is intended as a look into what I am doing to gather money together to invest for my family’s future. It will be me telling you what I am doing, how I am cutting back on my personal spending to free up money for investing, how I am investing the money, and the gains/losses I see as a result.

THIS IS NOT INTENDED AS ADVICE IN ANY WAY. IT IS NOT TO BE SEEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE OR ANY OTHER KIND OF ADVICE. Dave Ramsey says, “Live like no one else now so you can live like no one else later.” This is what I am doing, and I am just letting you in on it. If you decide some of the ways I am cutting back are good ideas, please try them yourself. BUT NOTHING I DO IS INTENDED TO BE ADVICE OF ANY KIND. If you need financial or investing advice, do what I will be doing: talk to a financial planner.

Ok….that’s out of the way. I don’t want anyone reading this blog and doing anything that may not work for their personal financial situation and blaming it on me. Enjoy the blog, and I’ll try to post as often as I can.
